Relatively new to cycling, and after much research and deliberation (plus bike consultations) I ended up with a Canyon Aeroad which I am absolutely in love with. Went simple the with Shimano Di2 105. Any tips for a new rider?
Enjoy! The tips really depend on what your „goals“ are for now. If you just want to ride and have fun, then by god just have fun!
If you have any specific goals regarding improvement of numbers and serious structured training, the tips would be get a powermeter (in my opinion 1 sided is enough to start with, assioma duo also quite affordable) and start training to zones. Importantly, don’t go out and go hard every ride, it’s important to build endurance 🙂 mind you, the structured training to zones etc could suck the fun a little bit from time to time.
