Looking for a wall hung solution for my road bike. This looks a neat solution where the wheels are set on ledges and the bike is held up and against the will with the pedal hooks.
I have power meter pedals and wondering if this sort out mount is a good idea? Or could it possibly damage the pedals?

I can’t see them damaging the pedals, you put a lot more force into them when you’re mashing than you would with the the partial weight of the bike.
Avoid! The pedals’ outer bearing is held on with a small locknut on a small threaded rod most of the time, I’ve broken two just from curb hops I guess. This would push that nut straight out and fatigue the threads if you yank on the bike while mounting/dismounting. They will scratch up your very expensive pedals at the very least.
Get something that hooks to the frame, I got IB-ST14 from Ibera and they work great!
Try Feedback Sports. Think they make the Velo Wall hanger. Performancebike.com may have what you’re looking for. And if you’re comfortable with hanging from the top tube amazon has several styles.
[feedback](https://feedbacksports.com/collections/bike-storage/products/velo-wall-rack?variant=44803541205290) has decent fairly small wall mounted options
It’s a clever idea, but… It seems like it’d be finicky to get exactly right, plus you’d have to move the bracket for different bikes.
I’d probably DIY something similar for the wheels, but a strap, loop, or hook to hold the stem/seatpost/toptube instead of using the pedal.
Me personally I don’t like the idea of my bike resting on its pedals and also pulling at the crank and bb this way almost bought these but ended up just doing meat hooks
I have a couple of the Feedback velohooks people are recommending, but I got a Steadyrack when I upgraded my rims and it’s been absolutely amazing. So easy to use, and you can fold your bike up against the wall to save space.
These won’t damage your pedals. I don’t use them because hanging the bike vertically allows two or three bikes to be stored within the same wall space.
Just installed similar ones to mount my (heavy) mountainbikes, seems pretty sturdy & would recommend.

I have two road bikes and a mountain bike on those. The amount of pressure on the pedals won’t damage them. I love mine.
If you use anything like this on a light painted wall you’re going to be constantly cleaning or looking at scuff marks from your tires.
I have those and use them with the Favero Assioma (Look version) with no problems at all. Here is a pic. I love those mounts, they are a great space-saving solution and ultra-sturdy.

I’ve yet to have issues with this style of rack. I have also used them with mountain bikes and BMX over the years. I do not have power meter pedals however

I’ve been using those for five bikes (4 flat pedals and 1 SPD) for 7 years now. No problem, lateral pull is minimal and especially on MTB pedals, it isn’t even close to comparable to forces while riding.
Would you be worried about damage to your pedals from laying your bike on its side? Forces are comparable to that, but pulling outward instead of pushing inward.
I would be worried for my safety if pedals could be damaged by such weak forces.
Depending on how your wall is built and how heavy your bike is, you might want to add a backing plate to the hangers. (For a steel touring bike, or a big mtb for example.)
You can also add small support for your wheels to take some weight off the hood. You can use literally anything your wheel can rest on and fits the room style, just mesure exactly for your bike because each bike will sit slightly differently on the hook.
Good luck!
I’ve got that exact one – it’s totally fine. You put way more force through them putting down watts
These actually don’t work on pedals that screw on via only a hex key won’t work on crank bros stamps or wolf tooth espresso I realized part of the other reason I just did meathooks
I had these. They were nice when you have 1 bike and wall space. When you have more than one bike that’s a problem unless you have lots of wall. I went with hooks from Home Depot screwed into each stud. The hang each bike by its wheel. I have 5 bikes this was covering the same space where 2 bikes used to be.
It does look nice and clean though.
Edit: adding this system won’t damage anything and will work just fine.
2×4 and string with A rubberized hook. Local hard ware prolly has cut offs for free
