The Mosel wine region is one of the most famous wine regions in Germany, known for its steep vineyards and top Mosel Riesling wines. The Saar is a tributary river of the River Mosel and its impossibly steep, vineyard-lined hillsides produce some excellent examples of Mosel Riesling wines.
