I converted mine to tubeless as soon as I got the bike, having never done it before, it was a learning experience I think is the most diplomatic way to put it. I wouldn't run anything other now. I'd recommend a plug kit, I use Peaty's, well I say use, I've never had to use it. I noticed one flat before I did the 100km last year but was too much of a risk to repair and run, so switched out the tyres and will repair and keep as a spare.
Listening to you about the mud and sludge… cements my decision to stick to Zwift in the garage 😂😅
