I’m not an expert on bikes, having not ridden one in a few years. However, I’ve been looking for a road bike for my daily commute to the gym and for riding around town. I’m also considering going up to Chinatown, which I used to ride to a few times in high school. It’s about a 20-mile ride for me. So, would this be a good purchase for $120?

Better make sure that back brake is in EXCELLENT working condition since there do not appear to be any brakes at all on the front. But otherwise yeah $100-$120 is fair
