We sent Conor into the pain cave to find the very hardest workouts the ROUVY training platform has to offer. From VO2 max intervals designed by Lidl-Trek coaches to race-winning attack simulations from Jonas Vingegaard, these sessions are designed to push you to your absolute limit. The question is: which workout eventually proved to be the toughest?

  1. Really enjoyable video. I'm using Rouvy myself and have even made my own workouts based on the suggestions from my Garmin watch.
I also been there where I'm just too nackered to finish the workout, so watching this made me feel better about myself and I felt Connor's pain.
I always thought that one could have two intervall sessions per week. But Connor is saying one every week or every second week. That's just the VO2 max sessions I guess? Or does the difficulty of the session matter as well? I know Rouvy operates with Easy, Medium and Hard difficulty on workouts.
Could anyone give me a pointer as to what I should be doing during a week or two?
My Garmin gives me a lot of zone 1 and 2 ride on week days as well as a threshold and sprint session. On the weekend it's 2 zone 2 sessions where one is a 3 hour ride.

  2. The long winded title of that book of excuses needs changing to REG, Random Excuse Generator which we fire up on Kirkby Lonsdale Cycling Club rides. We add new excuses to it regularly as folks come up with ever creative reasons to not ride or perform below par πŸ˜‚

  3. I’ve tried Zwift and Rouvy and they both have good and bad points. I went with Rouvy because it was cheaper. I love it for the graphics if I’m honest but foe gameplay Zwift has the edge

  4. I love Rouvy, been on it for about a year now and I think it's far superior to any other cycling app out there. Did Zwift for about 3 years before that and while it was ok, I much prefer the feeling of riding real roads, iconic roads that I'll probably never get a chance to ride in real life. I had to laugh though that you did a workout where you're supposed to attack like Ving. He attacks? The last time I saw him attack was about three years ago when he won Le Tour. He sits on wheels these days, mostly Pog's until Pog attacks, then he sits on Remco's wheel.

  5. Rouvy subscriber. I love the platform, I ride in front of my 32 inch (~81 cm) ultrawide monitor on the sit/stand desk. Most fun I have had on Rouvy this year: riding the first TT stage of the TdF and then comparing my time to that of the pros. I think the lantern rouge beat me by almost 7 minutes, but it was so much more fun to watch it later knowing the route.

  6. I started my indoor cycling journey on Rouvy, and never left. For the great stuff like this they have on there. And the fact that it gives back some of the feel of riding a real road, as opposed to staring at something made up.

  7. I would love to see more Rouvy content. I have been riding Rouvy for about 4 years and it just keeps getting better! I wear my GCN kit on the regular which I received after finishing the Three Hill Hell challenge. More GCN Rouvy challenges please!!!
