This journey takes us from Osaka to Kagoshima.

We travel aboard the MOL Ferry “Sunflower” Osaka–Shibushi route, which connects Osaka with the Osumi region of Kagoshima Prefecture.
After an overnight ferry journey, we arrive in Kagoshima in the morning and enjoy the experiences unique to ferry travel.

Upon arrival, we head into Kagoshima City using the free high-speed shuttle bus “Sunflower Liner.”
Surrounded by beautiful scenery, nature, and the atmosphere of the city, we explore Kagoshima — a place that is also a hidden treasure trove of great food — and enjoy local flavors unique to the region.

Starting with this Kagoshima episode, a new channel we’ve been quietly preparing — “Slow Slow Travel” — is finally about to begin.

Until now, I’ve mainly traveled solo, but on this new channel, my parents travel by camper van, slowly and comfortably, at their own pace, exploring destinations both in Japan and abroad.

The very first episode begins with this Osaka to Kagoshima journey.
Behind the scenes, they were actually traveling along a different route this time — enjoying BBQ camping, visiting a sand bath, and having a pretty good time along the way.

The video will be released soon, so feel free to check it out when it’s live.

  1. Hablando de Japon, hay varios libros de george todorov en amazon que me encantaron: "El espia bulgaro y la geisha", "El antiguo matadero de Okinawa", "Historias clandestinas en la isla de ikeshima"…

  2. What a beautiful hotel and restaurant that you went to! The food! Each dish was a beautiful work of art and the service was impeccable. Very peaceful with beautiful views all around! I really want to go to Japan and just go on all the ferries, they are amazing!

  3. Oh, my! That restaurant! It appears to be a large hotel, presumably they have other restaurants because most guests can't afford to eat like that. You didn't give the price, I assume it was part of the promotional tie in. Good for you, you lucky person!
That volcano just looms over everything. Kinda terrifying!

  4. Мой вам совет: не ешьте блюда с карри, приготовленные не вами. Это имеет риск схватить индийский понос.
В любом случае, спасибо за видео!

  5. Holy cow I was less than a week early to my favorite travel channel LETS GOOO

Suggestion: If you ever get the chance or find a cheap ticket one day, please do Cebu Pacific from NRT-MNL or HND-MNL. Doesn't matter which aircraft. Thank youl!

  6. 日本最南端の島、この島への、本当に楽しく、穏やかで、ユーモアに溢れ、そして学びに満ちた旅をありがとうございました。日本は本当に美しく、サービスも人々もとても親切で、リラックスした雰囲気でした。素晴らしい!

  7. I love your videos, they are so calm, relaxing and educational. Even more, I love how people from all over the world come together to watch you share your adventures. Thank you for bringing us here! Happy travels to you.✌️

  8. fabulous video! That hotel and restaurant were another level! How amazing! Although most was cooked, not sure I could eat raw meat (fish included). Hear too many horror parasitic stories LOL.

  9. Loved the video, as usual, but even more this time. You see, I am from Manhattan and my best friend from 50 years ago also grew up there. 35 years ago, she moved to Kushima, a small town near to Cape Toi on Kyushu. I hope to someday visit her! 😊

  10. Fascinating ferry trip. On my one visit to Kagoshima, I wish I had thought of ship travel rather than air. I love the two pieces of the ancient yakusugi trees which I bought in the city and are fashioned into perfect orbs. I understand the trees are semi-sacred and can not be cut down. Any artefects like mine have to be made out of trees blown down in typoons. Looking forward to the new series of vdos.

  11. I watch in amazement and realize that despite our different cultures and being on other side of the world, we are all the same. A good meal, enjoying the sunset, our affection for our pets, and that we see the same constellations in the sky. ❤❤❤ 🙏

  12. Hello Solo!!! I was taught, (which may be wrong) that the Emperor was on a journey and before entering the shrine, a cat (Maneki Neko) raised his paw so the Emperor stopped and did not enter and the shrine collapsed., saved by the " Lucky Cat" Is this true?
