NBD 🚲 Canyon Grail CF SL 7 Aero

A month in to pulling the trigger on a Canyon Grail CF SL 7 Aero. Quick shipping, and first impressions are 🔥.

Coming from the Grizl CF 6, this carbon frame feels noticeably more responsive. The geometry hits that sweet spot where it feels fast on pavement but still confident when things turn semi-chunky; champagne gravel is my terrain in my area. A lot of hills in my area as well and this bike is a great climber. Of course you can’t beat the wireless SRAM Rival shifting, which the Grizl CF 6 had SRAM Apex, which is a solid non-wireless group set. This summarizes why I switched to this bike from the Grizl CF 6, which is a great bike if you are primarily gravel riding and bike packing.

Changed the tires from the 40mm Schwalbe G-One R Performance to the G-One RS immediately, tubeless of course.

Might put a 45mm tire on front for longer gravel rides/races. The fork inner width is 60mm which I think you could put a 50mm tire up front? I don’t see myself need anything more than 45mm anyway and if I need wider tires for the terrain, I just ride my mountain bike which is a Lux World Cup CF 9.

Does anyone have this bike with a power meter?

Shoutout to Canyon for absolutely nailing this build.

Pics don’t do it justice, but you know the rule… NBD never disappoints 😎
