    Bikes, Trikes & Trouble | Loughborough’s Motorcycle Meet Under Threat



    We’re down at our local Bike & Trike Meet in Loughborough to check out the machines, the atmosphere, and the community. Join us as we take you for a full walkaround of the event, showing off the bikes, trikes, and custom builds that riders have brought out.

    But not everything is perfect — some bikers are staying away due to concerns about motorcycle theft in the town, which sadly has been an ongoing issue. It’s a real shame because meets like this are all about bringing riders together and celebrating the biking lifestyle.

      Anyone is welcome to try and steal my bike, but there is a caveat. They have to leave after their bollocks have been removed by a rusty but keenly sharpened knife. And I’m talking about my wife.

      There is absolutely no excuse for Bike Theft.There is no willingness from the cops to solve the problem.Put me in charge of security and I promise you the theft will deminish.

      Great video and bike meet. I picked up an Oxford Screamer disk lock. Heavy duty and it makes a very loud noise if messed with. Living here on the Isle of Wight there is very little bike theft because they have to get the bikes off the island by ferry, which is difficult. Far easier pickings on the mainland.

      Very, very few bike shows in my area of the States. Living in Harley country, they look at me strange when I ride past them sitting at a pub and continue to a donut shop or a McDonald's. I get nice comments at these places for my Re's and BMW's. A lot of older people that remember the old days when they too rode motos. You and Amy do a great job bringing these to us across the pond. 👍👍

      Sorry to have to say it, but after several near thefts in Loughborough the police ain't bothered. Everyone knows the local thieves but they will not do owt about it. Even when they see them riding around on stolen bikes with no helmets, black balaclavas and theft bags (full of tools). I've seen them ride past the police and the police just turned off and drove away. The local police are more interested in doing bugger all and coming up with a new page of excuses. We were told if we nabbed one WE would be arrested and not the thieves as that would be a physical law broken rather than a property law.
      Make of that what you will.
      Great to see the bikes n trikes though 🙂

      Another great Video Simon. I always like (and subscribe)them. For about a year now, its been bugging me, where do i know this guy from. Ive asked biker friends, -no i dont recognise him , then i get clues every video… “I ve got a business here in the town”… 🤔got it ✂️ 😂

      there is an austrian motobiker who drove over 700.000 km on his varadero. so honda austria offered him a brandnew africa twin with dct to show the reliability of the bike. this year bike thieves stole this twin on a tour with 530.000 km on the clock – so we will never know, how long this bike would be able to drive. it´s a damned shame. i hate thieves.
