Spain to the UK – A 1500km Bike Ride – Les Sables-d’Olonne – Day Twelve
This is the tenth of a series of 15 short films made from the handlebars on a bike ride across France.
Starting in Portsmouth in April 2025 I take the ship to Bilbao, ride across the foothills of the Pyrenees, on to the coast and into France. Over the next 15 days I travel on La Vélodyssée, The Atlantic Cycling route, heading South to North. From Nantes I take a train to St Malo for the ferry back to the UK.
Covering around 100-110km a day on my fully loaded touring bike, visiting some of the key towns and villages on the way. Enjoying everything the weather has to offer in early Spring.

Hi Glenn, I'm planning to cycle part of your route this year in the opposite direction. From La Rochelle to Santiago de Compostela via the Camino del Norte. It looks promising. However, the weather isn't exactly great in many places along this route at the moment. These aren't exactly ideal times for the people who live there.
I'm certainly looking forward to your next adventures.
