I wanted to share my video from a bikepacking trip that crossed the Canada from the Arctic Ocean Heading South:
Part 3- The Yukon: Land of the Midnight Sun (and way too many mosquitoes) 🦟🚲
In June 2023, my partner and I set off from the Arctic Ocean toward Vancouver. This leg took us through the wild, dusty, and beautiful Yukon—a place we completely underestimated. A poorly timed quest too soon after the winter. Turns out th seasons aren't quite the same above the Arctic Circle
What we learned:
The "Bloom" is real: Northern mosquitoes aren't a joke—they’ll bite right through your clothes.
The Dempster Highway is brutal: Bumpy roads, heavy bikes, and long, spectacular days.
People are incredible: Despite the "lonely" road, the kindness of strangers kept us moving.
As beginner bikepackers, we were clueless.
