Route: Loches, Beaulieu-lès-Loches, Ferrière-sur-Beaulieu, Genillé, Chemillé-sur-Indrois, Montrésor, Beaumont-Village, Orbigny, Angé, Montrichard, Pontlevoy, Valaire, Candé-sur-Beuvron, Chailles, Blois, La Chaussée-Saint-Victor. After having breakfast at 7 AM, we departed the hotel and headed towards Loches for our first cycling adventure. From Loches, we would ride all the way back to our hotel. Unloading bikes and fixing a flat tire took some time. Once ready, Jay, our tour guide, gave us a pre-ride briefing around 11:30 AM. As a newcomer to the group, I was immediately struck by their impressive speed. Keeping up was a challenge, but they were always considerate and waited for me. In the charming town of Montrésor, a detour to a nearby church led me astray from the group. Fortunately, Jay had provided us with a detailed route, so I could navigate independently. Freed from the pressure of keeping pace, I had the opportunity to savor the scenery, capture stunning photos, and even fly my drone. I’m so glad I decided to bring my drone for this trip at the last minute! I finally arrived back at the hotel around 8 PM, exhausted but exhilarated. Today’s ride covered 91.77 kilometers in 8 hours and 14 minutes, with a total elevation gain of 647 meters.
