  1. I own a 2007 Suzuki Bandit 650S which is my daily, but also a own a 2001 Yamaha DT125. The yamaha has done so many green lanes and I also rode it from Chester to Conrwall (I couldn't feel my bum at the end of it). Low capacity can be great fun, however for my longer tours or anything in Europe I am certainly taking my Bandit.

  2. I'm a Brit living in Malaysia. I have owned a few bikes while living here, a Yamaha Virago 535, Kawasaki Ninja 250, and a few others but the most fun was a Chinese copy of a Honda 125 which I kept for 7 years. On Sunday I am buying a my first scooter called a Moda Moca 110. It's claimed to be Malaysian made, but I suspect China may have had a hand in it. It's ridiculously cheap at £790 our including tax and insurance. So, I love watching this small bike challenges

  3. I’ll go for a 125 adventure motorcycle 🏍️ kind of 17 or 18 wheel size windshield shield 🛡️ with a 6 speed transmission. Having a six speed and a windshield is going to be economical.

  4. Just rode around North Vietnam on a Honda Wave 110cc. I don't even think most of what we did would have been possible on a large bike. It would have disappeared under the mud.

  5. You did better than a friend of mine. I said it'll be flogging it.
He had a 125 and asked if I fancied going to Scotland. Like a fool i said, "Yes." I had my 535 Virago.
We had to use A roads because of his L plates. 2 days to Oban from the Manchester area. We did set off quite late the first day, overnight stop. Then on to Fort William and the well known biscuit tin castle of Eilean Donan. Perhaps a total mileage of 800 miles.
We had to go at 45 m.p.h. because his bike would start jumping around at anything faster. He made out like he was whipping it like a horse to go uphill.
We got back and he said, "Well it made it."
Three weeks later he was going to Liverpool and he said his engine blew up. Exactly what he meant I don't know.
He got the bike at first and brought it round. The battery was dry! I couldn't undo the oil drain plug and told him to take it to the bike shop. Maybe a life of poor maintenance.

  6. People are so strange
    If walking is acceptable
    If cycling is acceptable
    Riding a 125 is acceptable
125 and 50cc are the predominant motorcycles throughout the world

  7. I would like to take my bike (QJ Motor SRK 125R) on a long trip but over a few days or maybe a week. I'd travel light and camp. All I'd need is a lean to style tent, roll Matt to sleep on, light sleeping bag, my fishing stove with my Ridge monkey and fishing kettle, and my travel rod. The bike has USB A and C ports so no worries about Charing phone and power bank. May look into doing it as if I camp by a river with my rod out I won't need to worry about paying for a campsite.

  8. Better than the grand tour because Jeremy Clarkson hates motorcycles and is a racist against Asians. And Chloe should have brought the wonder woman doll.

  9. Thats great, Frank Wheeler (1972): Rode a 125cc Hodaka over 16,572 km, Chris Peckham (1973): Rode a Honda XL125 (18 days 8 hours). So you are right, low capacity bikes can take you anywhere you want, It might be a bit slower, but you will get there none the less.

  10. I rode a 10-year-old 125 Lexmoto scooter from Wigan to Newcastle in 2022. Great fun to do and Great place to visit. Also, AWSUM fish and chips on the coast. Going to John o'Groats in spring 2026 on a SYM ADX 125.
