Around 5 years ago my father was at an estate sale and found this bike at the back of the garage. He bought it cause he thought it might be worth more than the 100$ he paid. The old man said it was ridden in the Olympics in the 80’s by the “B Team”. Thats the only info he was given.
After sitting in the basement for all too long we are thinking it needs a home with someone who would enjoy it. I talked with a local bike shop who said it was an art piece but it’s on the smaller side so it would be tough to find a buyer. Another bike shop said the paint was made using women’s stockings to get the air print?
I’m wondering if anyone would here had any advice on this bike and the best method to sell it? I put it on Facebook marketplace and had a ton of scammy sounding responses. We are in a smaller town so no one local even responded. Looking at eBay the similar bikes I could find vary widely in price.
Any help or feedback would be greatly appreciated.
