A little bummed. I've since October been going through the process of re-enlisting in the Canadian Forces (Infantry, reserves) and have all of the boxes checked (security clearance etc) and exceeded the minimum requirements for the physical and medical…but I don't hear so well in the my right ear so I just found out yesterday that NDHQ Medical deemed me unfit for duty. This ride really helped get me realigned but I think it will take awhile and a lot more rides. Was really looking forward to being back in uniform.

I’m currently re-enlisting as well; I just booked my Competitive Selection Interview for an upcoming date – I never really thought about the procedure if I was to hit a roadblock like you have.
Is there a chance you can talk to the recruiters to arrange a more in-depth hearing test to determine your fitness for service?
