The most famous motorcycle roads in Germany and an area full of traditions like cuckoo clocks and delicious cakes – welcome to the Black Forest.
When the high alpine passes are still buried in spring snow—or already closing again in October—there’s one place I always return to: the Black Forest. Here the roads wind like ribbons through pine-covered hills, past villages with timbered houses, cuckoo clocks in the windows, and cafés serving Black Forest cake. It may not be as high as the Alps, but the Black Forest in Germany has its own magic—welcoming, cozy, and some of the most famous motorcycle roads in all of Germany.

  1. Much enjoy Lea. Good to see you and the family out. Wonderful place hopefully I get to ride it when in Europe., Will make it a destination. Interesting with the clocks, food and the scenery. Many friends have spent time in Baden Baden in the army. I'll share this with them. You seem to be likeing the big GS. Hard to beat a flat twin in the mountains. Once experienced hard to ride anything else. All good from east Kentucky USA. Rode the Head of the Dragon of late. Beautiful colors of autumn. Next time.

  2. Great to see you back again 🤗. Hope you are all doing ok. Only ever driven past the Black Forest- we must go !! Shame to see all those diseased fir trees – we have them in Uk too. Delightful video – amazing how the curly haired “Little A” has grown 😊

  3. I have friends down in south Germany (near Lahr),,,been down a few times in the car over the years, although Ive not done it for the last 2 years (personal circumstances)…would love to go down next year on the motorbike

  5. An amazing area of Germany we explored in 1990-1991 while in the Lahr area as Canadian military. We love Germany, went back for the Christmas market last year and the year before, wunderbar ! Great video, thanks for sharing.

  6. There’s something truly special about the Black Forest – endless trails, misty hills, and that calming sound of nature all around 🌿✨

I recently captured some of its beauty in my new video, and it might just inspire your next adventure 🎥

Check it out if you love peaceful landscapes and hidden gems! 😉

  7. Beautiful video! You’ve captured the Black Forest so wonderfully. The atmosphere, the scenery, and all the little details. My own short film about cruising through the Black Forest, my home region, was much shorter. So it’s great to see how in-depth you’ve portrayed it here. Fantastic work! 👏🌲

  8. It IS beautiful but I honestly feel like there isn't a bad road in all of Germany to ride! And sadly, even after living there for 7 years in the 1980s and early 90s, and going back for a visit two years ago, I STILL have never ridden any of them on a motorcycle! That is so sad 😩😉🙂 It sure was nice to ride around with you again though!!!!

  9. as a kid, we went to the titisee for a few days. We rented a little boat to float on the lake and ended up getting chased by a big touring boat hahaha (we totally panicked then)
