Day 5, Tours – Caen
A TER train from Gare de Tours to Gare de Caen gives time for some sightseeing before cycling the short distance along the Canal Caen à La Mer to the port of Ouistreham. It is from there that a Brittany Ferry regularly crosses La Manch to Portsmouth in England. An early departure would mean an overnight in a local hotel or campsite.
