so I picked up a gravel bike for cheap since the carbon fork has some damage. I'm going to try my best to explain it, so bare with me. on the drive side of the fork, there is an aluminum insert for the TA expoxied into the fork. The TA sits on it when installed. the expoxy has failed and the insert "floats" around in the carbon. There is no cracking in the area but there is gap around the insert (1B in photo) . I'm hoping to remove the insert and re expoxy it back into the fork. even though the insert can wiggle around, it will not come out. I see there is a lip on the insert (1A in photos) and I've chipped the paint and it seems to have clearance to be removed. I put it in the freezer to shrink it and gave it some light taps. doesn't want to come out.
a) does anyone know if this insert would be installed after the carbon layup, or during
b) Has anyone removed one of these insert before
c) should I try and press the expoxy in through the gaps (worried about it having weak adhesion due to dirt and carbon dust inside)
