Got this bike for entry into the sport and it’s been good for that. Don’t know much about bikes at all so if someone is able to narrow it down to a year and some info if it’s a decent bike that would be sweet. All I can get from looking at it is specalized stump jumper elite. Thanks.

It’s a Specialized Stumpjumper from roughly 2009/2010.
They are good bikes, if a bit dated. If you don’t have any problem with it, it would be hard to argue against keeping riding it. At the very least you need to ride it long enough to be able to articulate what you’d want to have different in a new bike.
2009 specialized stumpjumper elite FSR. Drivetrain seems decent, it’ll work for most casual mountain biking, but if you want to hit some more serious stuff I’d reccomend a newer bike with some burlier parts. This bike is definitely solid though, it’ll make you have fun. Just make sure everything on it works well.

Looks to be from 2010-2011 era. Was converted from a set of three chain rings and front derailleur to a 1x set-up. They didn’t change the rear gear set-up, so you probably have an 8-speed bike now.
The rear shock and fork look correct to the year and model, but the giant home depot bolt holding the shock is not stock.
The wheels aren’t matching and are probably not original.
BUT… If it works for you, then ride it until the wheels fall off.
