Congrats to August well deserved win!
Yeah it’s bike racing ,BUT…. Be careful dude…… crashes will come your way, mark my words. As a pure sprinter in a break… at least pull through and fake it! YOU ARE A MARKED MAN NOW. SOMEONES GOING TO TAKE YOUR FRONT WHEEL OUT!!
He won by using his head and he got the stage. Chapeau to him. A win is a win.
Don't hate the player, hate the game!!
No gifts
I can’t stand people who do that, but winning is winning so fair play to him
Commentator with 200m to go and August jumps: “that won’t be popular with the riders he was with”
…they were at 200m to go… when was he supposed to jump??? Good tactics. Good win. You’ve gotta have a killer instinct to get wins nowadays.
This American, a real freeloader, is acting like a blatant opportunist, claiming he received instructions from his team not to participate in the relays, justifying this by the presence of a sprinter who could win the sprint. This is completely untrue. Regardless of the circumstances, this suck-up is exposing himself to unpleasant consequences, as the peloton shows no leniency towards this kind of behavior. Should we really be surprised by this Maga?
He got away with it this time, but the peloton will remember
It will always bother me—that's an understatement—these guys who don't cooperate, who take advantage of others' work, who claim they have a sprinter behind them and then sprint for the win. And what's equally unbearable are the comments from those who say it's clever, intelligent, a masterstroke, that he's already very experienced… And then the guy who exults at the finish line and shouts his joy with his teammates. I find this practice completely unsportsmanlike.
it's the black pants, if they would wore the grey ones the lose.
He'll be enjoying his karma coming back to him in the peloton soon. Love it!
Ahora entran los del Movistar!!!! 🤣🤣🫗
cheeky runner there. fair play to him those other guys didn't look like they were interested in winning the race.
Cycling is an odd sport. He won the race, legitimately so, but will any of those three ever pull with him again? So you kind of have to hope you never find yourself in a group with Vermmech, etc. again.
August winning in . . . February ?
This year is mad racing!
Biniam still in yellow!🟡
Congrats with his first victory.
I don’t agree with all the commentators gentleman ship fuzz, it’s a legit victory. Tactic vs tactic. UNO X almost got it tho, good job on Holter
AJ/Ineos played the game right. The moment they realized that the peloton can't make it, they let AJ go for it. Had they waited for the peloton, someone from the breakaway would go for it.
Cycling is back. The world is resetting
I read a lot of comments saying “he was told not to collaborate” etc. That doesn’t seem to be the case from what I see in the video: he is constantly looking back to see if his team can catch up and help his sprinter go, hence he was in the back, and when he realises its not going to happen, decides to go for it. Don’t see any foul play here folks
Where’s Stage 2?
If you can’t drop him while he’s following team orders and he has a better sprint than you-that’s bike racing. Chapeau on win No.1 AJ!
