Back in September 2024 I rode the Munich-Venice trail on my Brompton C-line 6 speed. I highly recommend the route for anyone, it was incredible! It has a website, which I downloaded the GPX file from, and it is also well signposted. It’s 565km with 4700m elevation gain, and apparently it’s one of the easier routes over the alps. I did it over 6 days with a mix of camping and hotels.
My Brompton took it all in its stride, I was really impressed! A lot of the route is unpaved and some of the gravel can be quite chunky, but there’s a good amount of tarmac. The bike is really comfy for long days in the saddle. Some of the rougher and longer unpaved descent’s could be quite tedious as I had to take it really steady. But the tarmac descents were good fun! There were definitely times I wished I had a more suitable bike haha
I highly recommend touring on a Brompton, they are so capable! Get out there and explore!
