the other side is using an allen key but this side just spins with it and i don’t have a wide head screwdriver that is that wide!! is there something i’m missing
You need park tool CNW-2 or a tool like it. That tool also works on the bolts that hold chainrings.

That looks like a chainring nut wrench would fit.

Use a coin or the back of a knife. Once that nut has enough friction you can tighten the screw just by the allen key.

Same tool is often needed for chainring nuts. It is never a good experience tightening or loosening those, one always ends up needing at least one more hand.
