Meet Betty, my Brompton. I've been a keen cyclist since a young age, BMX, Mountain Biker, Road Biker now Commuter. I always thought Brompton's looked a bit twee, too small, twitchy, and always commuted on a full sized flat bar road bike. When the rail company started enforcing the "no non folding bikes" on my route, my hand was forced to become one of "those people", the smug ones, folding and unfolding this magical object into something rideable. After a few weeks, I'm totally in love. She's not the best on the UK potholed roads, or the fastest, but she's nimble, quick, beautifully Engineered, simple and so practical for Train or Bus use. I just wish I'd met you sooner Betty x
