Sorry if this isn't the right place to post this, I don't know who to ask about this and need my bike fixed fast for work.
I'm a new biker who's been using a simple bike to get to work and back. Nothing fancy or meant for hardcore biking. I've only been riding it for a year.
Yesterday morning I found one of my tires damaged like this. I'm not sure what happened nor what kind of damage this is in order to look up how to fix it. Does anyone have any ideas and suggestions on what to do? Do I need a new wheel or would I need something specific or??

It looks like you just need a new tire and probably a new tube for it. It looks like the rubber dry rotted, it just happens over time
Replace the tire, this one is beyond saving. Look at those writing on the side and that should give you the size you need.
Also check if inner tube is not punctured.
If you need to learn how, check youtube for parktool videos, or if not sure, bring it to the bike shop 🙂
You just need a new tube and tire. You can pick one up at your local bike shop as well as a tire change kit.
New tire time! You should check out a video and learn to change the tire. It’s a really good skill to have if you’re bike commuting.
