This bike has been through so many renditions; single speed cruiser, 27.5 drop bar gravel bike, tringle speed and everything in between. This version is the most fun and versatile. I have taken this on some pretty hardcore downhill runs and I gotta say, if you are thinking of welding on disc tabs… Go for it! Especially if you have the GTs with those God awful U-Brakes
Truth be told I didn’t weld a support brace on the rear triangle but I have had no issues. You probably should do it, but if you are scared, I think you can get away without it. I’m not a great welder and I did not do the best job attaching them. I had to do some sculpting and a lot of filing but I finally got them lined up.
The tabs open the door to so many configurations. So go for it!
