Prepping for spring while suffering through winter here in Canada. I’m usually a size S in Evade Pro jerseys, but with Eclipse I had to size up to M and literally couldn’t get it across my chest. Even the size M has a risk of unzipping if I stand the wrong way (and I will often just unzip it when I get off the bike).

Took a gamble on the Drome Air stuff which I read fits tighter than the Evade fit, so I ordered M, but the arms are a bit loose and long in the forearm/wrist area unlike my size S evade jerseys. I prefer a more fitted, race-fit arm but I’m thinking if I size down I’ll struggle in the chest/shoulders.

It’s a bit tough to return these from Canada to Australia so I think the decision is made for me but how’s the fit? Should I go for S next time?

For reference I’m 178cm, 76kg. The jackets are size M and the gilet is size S but my sizing for Maap, Rapha and Assos are kind of all over the place. Usually M, sometimes S, and these M tights were so difficult to get on it sounded like I was ripping some threads but they feel good once they’re on. It sucks being between sizes.

  1. FYI, check Enroute.cc they are located in BC and stock MAAP, you can also avoid the ridiculous duties we’re getting fucked with.

I got the purple and grey/white Drome Air for 195CAD each (sale).

Fit looks good, and I feel you on the sizing issues. I’m somewhere between an assos medium and a castelli XXL.

If you don’t mind me asking, what helmet is that?

Looks perfect man! I wouldnt change anything you have on here. I wear all S in maap even bibs and tights. Got the thermal drome and I can totally relate with the extra snug fit across the chest—I don’t even have big chests. However the sleeves were like 3 inches too long for my arms🤦🏻‍♂️. Getting them hemmed. One of the most comfortable thermal jerseys I’ve put on though.
