Hey all — looking for a sanity check from folks more experienced with carbon frames.
I’m considering a 2018 Canyon Ultimate CF SL 8 Disc (size 58) listed on Marketplace. Seller shared a video/photo showing what looks like damage behind the chainrings, inside the bottom bracket area.
To me it looks chalky / fibrous rather than smooth, which makes me worried it could be exposed or delaminated carbon in the frame, not just cosmetic wear or a drivetrain issue. I want to be cautious since this is a high-stress area. (See last few photos)
