So, on my 2022 YT Tues, whenever I put the front axle in, it's a Maxle axle, but it's a 27.5 inch, and it just seems like the axle isn't gripping the threads. And I looked it up, and I found that it requires some compression on the fork to get it in, but even bending in the fork a little bit, and like, as far as it can go with a tight-on strap, it still just won't catch the threads. If I put it in the opposite way, so the axle is just outside of the fork, it grips on the threads and it'll screw all the way in, so there's no damage to the threads. And I know I'm not screwing it the wrong way, because it's not a reverse thread, and even if it was, I've tried it both ways on a rafter wrench, but it just won't grip. The threads aren't damaged, and I'm stumped. I've never had this problem before, and this bike is new to me, anyone who knows what their doing?

Bro stop now. Looks like your hub endcap is outside your fork.
That black cap that’s spinning should be against the hub on the inside of your fork
A) Well done for stopping, asking, and resolving. You’ve learnt something new!
B) This is why bike mechanics exist.
