Just thought I would share since it is a small market that is also very pricy. My son is about 4'6" and is progressing rapidly on the bike. His 24" is trail worthy but not as capable as bigger hoops or as confidence inspiring as newer geometry (longer lower slacker). Most of the options in this category are well over $1,000 which is a tough swallow when you have a growing kid! The XXS Trek Marlin has 26" wheels and is just a tiny bit too tall for him (we're in a winter off season) right now but expect in the spring it will be the sweet spot to last him a while.

I also read (may not be true!?) that this frame will accept 27.5" wheels allowing it to grow with my son.

Paid just over $600 with some fun accessories for birthday "New Bike Day" and it's seemingly going to be a very capable machine for my boy! I wanted to share since it's a small window that's often overlooked with bike manufacturers. Happy trails!
