I am a dumbass and trust me, I’ve been kicking myself all night after trying to remove my rear wheel.

The rear thru axle felt like it was completely seized and I applied more force and what you see in the first two pictures is the result. The last pictures are of the other side of the axle.

Is it even possible to remove the axle now? Will I have to cut through the middle of this wheel? If I have to cut the wheel, my mistake will cost me $600 lesson learned…

  1. I can see the drive side of the axle is hollow. Does it have a hex head broached into it? If so you can insert a hex key on the drive side and unscrew it (righty-loosey).

Btw, not referring to the UDH bolt, but the smaller hole inside.
