Heavy flooding hit the Var region this Sunday. A powerful storm hit the region, particularly along the west coast. Numerous power outages have been reported, as have problems with the telephone network. Firefighters have been called out repeatedly, with some areas of Toulon particularly flooded.

Following the Vaucluse and Bouches-du-Rhône, it’s the Var’s turn to join the list of departments under an orange warning for “storms” and “rain floods” starting this Sunday, September 21, at 4 p.m.
