After conducting extensive research, I ordered a Polygon Strattos S7X with Shimano 105 Di2 from BikesOnline. Unfortunately, as many others have reported, the bike was out of stock despite being listed: a case of 'ghost inventory.' The sales representative recommended a Look 785 Huez 2 with SRAM Rival AXS as an alternative.

Given that the Look 785 is categorized as a climbing bike, I am unsure if it fits my needs. I am looking for an endurance-focused ride for 20–25 mile outings twice a week. My local terrain is mostly flat with very few climbs, and I prioritize comfort over raw speed. Additionally, I plan to participate in the STP (Seattle to Portland) ride once a year. I am 5'6" and typically ride a size small.

Should I accept this substitution, or should I hold out for an endurance-specific model? Also, are there significant concerns regarding brake fluid or yearly maintenance when comparing SRAM AXS to Shimano?
