  1. You can also purchase a card that you can use on morethan one day. That way, you can travel easily on yhe metro or the bus. Also: line 4 from Gare du Nord gets to to most tourist attractions.

  2. Also, keep your hand on your purse and bag (especially the zip), particularly if the Metro is crowded.

Another tip is that if “travellers” come through begging for money (shaking a box or hat or holding out their hand), just ignore them and DO NOT give them eye contact. Obviously, do not give them money.

A final tip that I implement is that I pull down my sleeves over my bangle and bracelet and I turn my engagement ring around, with my 2+ carat diamond facing underneath my hand.

Any designer brand purchases should be placed in other bags. For instance, Louis Vuitton and Chanel have given me plain white bags so that the real bags are not visible.

Just be a little bit suspicious of everyone and you won’t have a problem! Vive la France!

  3. I haven’t been to Paris for a while, I used to buy an unlimited day ticket, i think you could also purchase a seven day unlimited ticket, might have been zonal and not sure if ticket included the airports as i use trains to Paris. The staff at ticket booths were always very helpful, polite and pleasant.
