Hey everyone, thanks in advance for your help. How much time will I gain from a Speedmax CF to a SLX? Is it possible to get a similar aero position on the CF as the SLX?

I have an open order for a Canyon Speedmax CF as my first TT bike for triathlons. I'm committing to purchasing one of these two bikes with the risk of not having the ability to try or even see either of these bikes beforehand where I live. I understand this is not ideal, but I'm going for it regardless.

I'm a 50 y.o. male. I've completed an Olympic event and a 70.3. I plan on doing at least 1-2 more 70.3 events before a full ironman. I herniated a disc in my lower back a couple of years ago but did a half iron using a road bike with aero bars. I'm not the most flexible, so comfort in a full distance IM will be important. That said, if I can train my body to get the most aero possible, I'd like to do so. So overall, I'm looking for a bike that can be adjusted for comfort and max aero depending on how my journey goes.

I like the look of the SLX more, but I like the practical storage on the CF more. If the CF would get most of the aero gains I could get, I'd prefer to save the money. I've added a screenshot of the CF from an Ironman video…..not sure if it's a fit or a bike issue, but it doesn't look much more aero than my road bike with clips. Thanks for your feedback!
