Carbon fork marks

Hi all,

I’ve been looking to upgrade my current fork for a disc brake one and came across the following fork on eBay. Don’t know much about carbon and what would be rideable or not so I wanted a few insights about the mark made by the headset compression ring. Is that a normal thing to have on a carbon fork?
