I’ve owned this Trek since 2012. It’s been such a solid bike for my needs. I’ve upgraded it with a Rock Shock Recon solo air fork, eBay dropper post with Wolf Tooth lever(which is such an awesome lever), Fifty-Fifty pedals along with a few other upgrades. I really like the color combo and touches of anodized blue. I drilled out one of the rivnuts on the seat post bottle cage that wasn’t used to run the cable for the internal dropper post cable. That allowed me to not have to buy an externally routed cable post and I don’t have to add any unnecessary holes either. I already purchased a 1X crank set and will be buying a Shimano SLX 1×11 group set that comes with the cassette, derailleur, chain, shifter along with M7100 hydraulic disc brakes and levers soon. Building this bike up over time and on a budget has been easier on my pocket and fun being that I’m doing the work myself.
