This is part 2 of my 128-day cycling adventure around all 20 regions of Italy including the islands of Sicily and Sardinia.
Part 1 covered the initial preparations and first 16 days in North-east Italy, ending with a broken derailleur hanger in the Dolomites.

Hi Richard, I've never cycled that part of the world, but have driven up and down the A22 many times. I've often observed cyclists on that very path you were on going from Brixen-Bolzano-Trento. Lovely content with some very familiar scenery. Makes me nostalgic to go back again.
Oh wow! I have so much to say to you, on so many subjects!
Firstly, I cycled around the complete coastline of Sardinia back in October and loved it. I used to live there 30 years ago for 3 years so was really looking forward to going back. There is a couple of videos on my channel about it.
I've also cycled from Rome to Calabria in 2024 and 2025 but this year I'm cycling from the Brennero pass on the Austrian border down to Reggio Calabria. This will be my longest ever trip as I'm still fairly new to Bikepacking. It looks like you started in a similar area?
I'm really looking forward to watching this video. Apart from our obvious shared love of Italy, I have also purchased black Ortlieb panniers and Rack-Pack bag which is totally flumaxing me as to how it safely attached but I'm sure once I've loaded them up it will all make sense!
Really looking forward to this video.

Hi Richard great video loved the content, it's amazing how things appear when you least expect them, reference gear hanger.
Thanks Richard, your 2 videos so far have been great! I love how you put so much detail into them including the maps etc. The look of the video is very professional. I'm look forward to the remainder of your adventure.
Hey Man, I just started the 1st part yesterday. I knew I have to sub because that's how rich the content is. Seriously, 2nd part did not disappoint at all.
Hope you get greater height in yt, so you can continue doing this
The bit at 29:20 is in the province of my birth, Biella. The Serra (a moraine left by massive glaciers during the Ice Age) is a big old climb, and the road to Graglia is indeed a pain because of all the lorries getting water from the Lauretana spring. Allegedly it's one of the purest in Italy, or so they said when I was a kid. Now it's the purest in Europe. Give it time and it'll be the purest in the universe!
i had the same problem in 3500 elevation where nothing there
and now im in fethiuye manageg to do somehow
Boring video ! Someone likes the sound of his voice far too much …
Nice video, I'm enjoying it a lot, but, as a West Veneto guy the roads give me car-ptsd. Trentino-Altoadige aside, Italy is a 3d world country when on a bike.
These are great. Thanks for sharing and really looking forward to parts 3, 4, and 5.
cannondale is notorious for using proprietary parts, you were lucky to find the right hanger
Really enjoy these 2 videos so far Richard. The detail and footage of all the places you go through are amazing. Keep them coming!
Great cycle touring content, really authentic and down to earth. Can't wait for the next episode!
Thanks Richard, I REALLY enjoy your videos and here especially the way/style that you do this. Please do more !❤
