"Dash cam video captures a group of teens riding bike on Manteca Freeway."
Not sure what other forum to post this, but as bicyclist, I think this a reflection of lack of decent bicycle infrastructure and a car-centric design of our American cities.
There is a pent-up demand for kids to ride their bicycle without fear of being run over by a vehicle
The only time these kids can be safe riding their bicycle on the road is to form a large enough group for drivers to see them and actually slow down. I see this is as far less intimidating than a single driver on a two-ton speeding machine.
Instead, the reporting and reactions are from perspective of drivers that are inconvenienced, instead of perspective of kids looking for a place to ride their bikes safely on a nice day.
Just my two cents.
