  1. No pads, no backprotector = no motorcycle jacket. It’s that simple

and don’t try to risk other people’s life’s by selling it as motorcycle jacket if it’s just a normal leather jacket that doesn’t protect you. There are also good looking normal leather jackets out there so what are you trying to say ?

  2. …they also function on a bike…"…" we have assed our risk tolerance.."….now you got to admit that sounds a bit weird…
These jackets don't function on a motorbike. Function of motorcycle gear is to protect if they look fashionable it's a bonus not a goal…

  3. The reason why this pisses people off is because in many countries it is illegal to advertise/sell stuff as motorcycle gear unless it is certified/tested to safety standards (CE). While it's not illegal here, certified gear is largely what motorcycle shops sell and what most educated bikers know is safer. I would say you're in a moral grey area. Ask yourself if anyone who knows about these standards would buy one of your jackets to protect themselves on their motorcycle. I'm sure some people do because they don't care, but should the ones who don't know be told? Obviously many people believe they have a right to know.

  4. The most important aspect of a motorcycle jacket (and any other gear besides the helmet) is abration resistance against tarmac for if you fall.
Something a classic leather biker jacket is fully capable of.

  5. I think a fashion jacket made out of full grain leather is absolutely fine for a city ride! Being a leather designer I feel the safety ride jacket manufacturers somehow drove their propaganda and instilled the thought in people that it is unsafe wearing a leather jacket! I think you need a safety jacket only if you intend to hit the track or involved in endurance testing otherwise your leather jacket is totally fine!

  6. If you want a fully modern safety rated classic jacket, look at the brands Merlin, Belstaff, and Goldtop. There's no need to compromise!

  7. That’s cool, you put a one star on your y2.

Question, I have a Schott perfecto 519 in the black and I also ordered some extra brown stars just because I had an idea to like switched up chrome hardware out with brown hardware. Anyway, so I have these brown stars. I’m thinking it would probably look pretty sick if I stacked the stars so a star on top of the other, but having one of the stars be brown or like that gold color would that look cool or cheesy or should I just replace the stars with the brown or not fuck with it at all? Waddya think
