Hello again knowledgeable folks.
I recently purchased a 1986 Vitus 979, with the original style of clamp. The seat post seems to be stuck inside. I’m hesitant to pry the clamp open a little, as they’re known to crack, and I don’t want to heat it up because it might affect the bond in the lug. I’m also hesitant to hammer it down to break whatever is stopping it from coming out. Honestly, I’m scared to do anything…
