just a little project i did for my vintage CCM encore, there’s not many headlight options that feel period correct to my bike, most look awkwardly out of place, and real vintage headlamps are too dim to be safe.
i got this busted headlamp at an antique store and swapped the 3v e10 bulb to a 9v Led with a e10 base, put a 9v. battery clip in there and soldered red to the brass strap on the bottom of the bulb and the black to the front of the case for negative to the bulb, then added a two position chrome interrupt switch to the top as the original switch was broken.
now it looks accurate to my bike, but is also very very bright and visible!
