Marburg is a German town, North of Frankfurt. Marburg is located in the State of Hessen. It’s home to Philipps University, founded in 1527.

The Altstadt, or old town, includes half-timbered houses. The town area spreads along the valley of the river Lahn. Marburg has a population of approximately 76,000.
