With all the recent Bianchi posts I will admit I am late to the party. A while ago I was perusing this forum and I came across a neoretro Bianchi Alfana build the inspired me to do this build. It can be seen at the link below.

While perusing Ebay for Christmas Gifts, my search diverted to bike frames (we've all been there). A seller was parting with a steel Bianchi frame that was freshly powdercoated. Recalling the Alfana is bought it immediately, especially because it was my size.
While I knew it would look good with an old Campy groupset and silver hardware, I wanted the bike to have STI shifters and more modern handlebars. I wanted to be able to use the bike as a tourer on easier days.
I sourced a Campy 11 speed Ergopower Centaur groupset. Wheels are Mavic Cosmic UST with a HG freehub. Fortunately the 11 speed casettes between Campy and Shimano have the same spacing.
I decided to go all black for the hardware because that is the current standard and would bring the neo to this retro. While silver looks better I feel that the black looks like it belongs here. I was able to get a quill stem with a 31.8mm opening to allow me to use aero carbon bars that allow my hands to rest comfortable on the hoods.
Then there is the seat. I was looking for Selle Italia seats and this popped up. It was so ridiculous there was no way I wasn't going to get it. It's so ridiculous it brings a smile to the face of everybody who sees it and a chuckle when I tell them this is my Bianchi Taint Punch bike.
Hope you all enjoy, cheers!
