I just built a new wheelset and get this RD-m960, new cassette, new chain as well. Everything rides smooth and indexes properly with a Sora 8s downtube shifter. But my chain is skipping under load! I havent been able to reproduce in the stand.. my question is this:
Are the teeth in the chainring worn enough to cause my chain to skip? I am noticing some sharktooth profile, but Im having the same issue on the larger chaining and I’m hardly noticing any sharktooth at all. How would you chase this down?

Take a look if the chain got stretched and also take a look at derailleur hanger if it’s bent or derailleur misaligned
