If the bike fits 2,35inches, then it was probably designed for thicker tires. So road bike tires wouldn’t be the best choice.
You could take a look at 2 inch/50mm tires. Schwalbe has some good stuff. G-One RS if you want the fastest ones, otherwise you could use the G-One Overland.
