Hi all!
I was looking for an indoor trainer for my fixed gear. Not a lot of info online, but I managed to find a suitable solution, so I thought it may interest some of you:
– Tacx Boost,
– adapter bolt for fixed gear (Garmin Tacx M10 T1415 Axle Nut).
– I also got myself a Speed and Cadence Sensor (Garmin V2) that I paired with my Garmin watch.
– I recommend using some kind of sport mat or similar, especially if you are in a flat.
Tried it yesterday, and it is working well. It is not the most quiet trainer, but I find the noise relatively acceptable.
The trainer has 10 level of resistance, that are definitely felt in the legs/working.
Let’s see how long the trainer will last!
note: it is apparently recommended to use it with a specific tire, but I didn’t not buy it. The reason I saw is that the specific tire has more grip and is getting used slower than traditional outdoor tire. We will see!
I bought everything new, and the overall cost was 605zl (approx. 143€).
Cheers!
Side note: I am not affiliated with any of the brand. Purchased everything with my hard earned money.

What are you training for?
Also pulled the trigger on a wheel on trainer this winter, got the Garmin Taxc Vortex for £50 and the adapter. Can link it to Mywoosh and don’t need any sensor as the Vortex has power meter, cadence and speed sensor built in, pretty cool to be able to cycle inside during the winter honestly 🙂
This is great. What is the rear hub spacing on your bike? The Garmin website says that it’s for 130 and 135mm, but that there are adapters available for other widths.
I briefly looked into it, but the trainers I’ve seen aren’t compatible with 120mm hub spacing, so don’t really work with track bikes or you need some pretty expensive workarounds.
