Got an email from jenson saying that while building up the bike they noticed a cosmetic scratch, comestic. They are offfering 25$ gift card.
While I know bikes are gonna get skratched, I was kinda hoping for a clean finish. They have about 7 of this model and color in stock too.
Should I just accept the bike and gift card? Cheers

Personally I wouldn’t. You buy new for a reason
I would take it. Most brands sell touch up paint too so ask if they could throw in some of that too and it’ll be a new bike again after you touch it up at home
The yellow is just a post-it to show the small scratch? At first I was thinking no way, but seeing how little the damage is… It took me 3 or 4 months to make a slightly bigger one and then others that only me can see on mine. And well I would have preferred not to do them but I rode the bike and got nice memories and it’s still riding as well.
How bothered will you be when you scratch it yourself? Take the voucher and ride on if that won’t bother you much, or ask a new one if you will be able to keep it pristine for many years!
I wouldn’t take it, new is new.
You did well to even spot that but nevertheless it is there. If id spent thousands on a bike hell yeah I’d be annoyed but mainly because im quite ocd with mine, a bike mechanic put a substantial scratch on my bianchi I was absolutely furious as i literally turtle wax it to pristine condition lolÂ
Drill a hole thru it to make it uniform
I got a £50 off my last mtb as the guys building slipped a dropped a screwdriver on the seat stays putting a big scratch on it. My bike packing bags didn’t quite fit this bike and removed all the paint around this scratch in a weekend.
Long way of saying take the cash bikes get dinged up, now you’re not so precious for the first wee while.
