Hello, just got my first bike, asked for a fixie bought this for £310 with a lock and lights and phone holder that lock can be removed right, do I remove it? also I know this bike has a brake on it but I heard fixies can also be stopped if you stop pedalling but mine was coasting, can this also skid? Anyway that’s all, thanks

u gotta flip the rear wheel to skid, its currently on the free hub thats why it’s coasting
It has flipflop hub so you just need to flip the wheel around to make it a fixie
Had the same bike back in London I’m sure o got sold a stolen one but they are just heavy af, don’t get put off by that. Enjoy it ride it upgrade to a better bike as you get more into the hobby

You will also need straps to skid with , and it’s currently single speed that’s why it coasts like a big BMX but take wheel off and turn it around, and then your fixed ,but for fixie points definitely sack the lock phone holder possibly rear break once you get used to NOT using it,
