Weight is only a side bonus for converting to tubeless for me. The biggest effect it had for me was better tire compliance at low PSI and in low temperatures.

You can also fill your tires up with helium. It leaks out slowly so it’s only good for a day.

You don’t need to put a lifetime’s supply of sealant in! I just put in 2oz to start and top off with another ounce if needed after a month or three. If the tire has been previously sealed, I will start with 1oz. I do carry a 2 oz emergency container in my long ride kit though
