Both of these used bikes are for sale near me. The Marlin 7 seems to be more used but seller says it’s in excellent shape. Bike is for my wife and riding will be fairly mild but I want her on something respectable.
The Roscoe 6 seems to be like new. The Roscoe is 2023 model and has a dropper post, a 10 gear Shimano Deore, Shimano MT200 disc brakes, 27.5” tires with a through axles, the fork is xcm sr suntour 32 with 100mm of travel.
The Marlin 7 has a dropper post, SRAM SX Eagle 12 speed, 29” tires with through axels, Shimano MT200 disc brakes, the fork is RockShox Judy Silver, Solo Air spring with 100mm of travel.

If your wife is more into longer rides and not that often on a trail, I definitely would get a 29″
Also the marlin has a better fork and better transmission
I got the marlin 8…great all round.
Roscoe if youre doing any kind of technical riding. Marlin is more of an XC bike.
Is it a surprise gift? If not I would 100% take her along and to try them out and see if she likes one over the other. Been there, bought a bike without consulting, girlfriend didn’t like how it felt, and ended up having to sell it at a loss.
Marlin 7 would be my personal choice
